Born in Daytona Beach, Florida but now living in Orlando, Florida, Ryan has been involved in rental kart racing, rFactor and iRacing since he was old enough to drive.

rFactor and iRacing are considered by many to be the best, most sophisticated driving simulators available to the public for a relatively low cost.

Clint McMahan saw Ryan racing karts and was impressed enough to offer Ryan a couple of rental races in the pink Scorpion F600 for the July race at Roebling Raceway, finishing 3rd, and the ARRC at Road Atlanta in 2018 where he came from behind after going off track in the first turn to win the race.  Since then Ryan periodically races the Scorpion.
